RE: Completion of Pillar Subcommittee work

I would like to thank the many stakeholders who collaborated on the final report documents that are now available to the staff and general public.  This work involved many hours of careful research and discussion to develop documents that represent best practice for the Maranacook Area Schools during this unprecedented pandemic.  RSU #38 will be using these documents to guide our work moving forward as we return to learning at the start of the school year and beyond.  We strongly encourage everyone to review these documents as schools begin. The information contained within the documents will be guiding our practices around safety, connectivity, social emotional learning/wellbeing, and academic learning/recovery.

The recommendations contained within these documents are up to date as of the date of this memo but understand that mandates, guidance, and recommendations are constantly changing and updates will be made  within the document as feasible based on executive orders from the Governor, guidance from the Maine Department of Education (DOE) and the Maine Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Links to the following documents can be found on our website on the COVID-19 page. https://www.maranacook.org/o/rsu-38/page/covid-19-updates--39
