Dear RES Parents,
As is the case with any plan, there are always a few loopholes. I apologize for the confusion and congestion involving parent pick up. In an effort to improve on this process, we have revised our protocol for morning drop offs and afternoon picks up beginning tomorrow morning September 10th. We will no longer have a Lot A and Lot B. Instead, we will use the bus entrance driveway. Please see the revised protocols below:
All Morning Drop Offs
Parent drop off goes from 8am-8:25am.
Parents are to use the bus entrance to drop off their children. There will be two designated lanes. Please pull your car up to the end of the lane to allow other cars to enter.
A “Morning Greeter” will assist in safely escorting your child into the building.
Please wait patiently until it is your turn for your child to leave your car.
Please remain in your car if possible as it slows things down when parents are getting in and out of the car. If you can't, please park your car in the parking lot in the front of the building (formerly Lot A).
Do not pass cars that are letting students out of their vehicle.
Please do not pass buses.
Please be aware that if a bus is pulling into the bus entrance, Mr. Boston will need to clear the area of any cars and direct traffic. Once students have disembarked, parents will be able to proceed with drop off.
All Afternoon Pick Ups
Parent pick up will begin after 1:00 pm and will be able to use the bus entrance in front of the school.
Parents picking up their child with assigned numbers of 1-60 (1:00 - 1:10 pm) are to use Route 135 (Stanley Road), take a right on Beaver Dam Road, which turns into South Road to enter the bus entrance. There will be two designated lanes. Please pull your car up to the end of the lane to allow other cars to enter.
Afternoon pick up will be at 1:10 - 1:20 pm for students taking the bus (Bus numbers: 1, 8, 11, 12, 14, 14).
Parents picking up their child with assigned numbers of 61+ may use the South Road off of Route 17 and are to use the bus entrance. There will be two designated lanes. Please pull your car up to the end of the lane to allow other cars to enter.
A staff member will be outside to assist and bring your child to you.
Please remain in your car if possible as it slows things down when parents are getting in and out of the car.

The first week of school will take longer, but the process will speed up over time.

If your child needs to be dismissed during the day, please communicate with us by calling ahead of time.
When you arrive for the early dismissal, please drive up to the front doors and call Amanda Hreben at 685-4406. Dismissal will be handled remotely. Please do not come into the building
