Readfield Elementary School

The Maranacook Education Foundation (MEF) is pleased to highlight another classroom grant that was awarded this year to Eric Hathaway, grade 4 teacher at Readfield Elementary School. Eric wanted to enhance his student's understanding of the use of solar power and how it could be used to charge small devices that his students use every day. This photo shows the students using the supplies purchased through the grant and Eric reported that the students had a great time exploring different machines and power sources during this recent study. Enhancing curriculum studies is just one of the criteria that MEF uses to award classroom grants each year and it gives us great pleasure to see the students so engaged in learning created by our grant funding. We thank Eric for taking the time to apply for this important grant as his students have certainly benefited from his efforts. MEF will support another round of grant funding in the fall of 2024.
