Meet Heather Lewis, a Grade 2 Teacher at Readfield Elementary School, who is receiving an Employee Recognition Certificate from the Maranacook Education Foundation. Heather was nominated for a colleague for this honor because she is not only a phenomenal teacher, but also a fantastic mother of 3 young children. Her colleague also shared that she is in awe of her ability to do it all and with such grace. Heather works hard to create a calm, caring, and positive classroom atmosphere in which her students feel valued and safe. She is a team player and will do anything for anyone. She also shared that getting the opportunity to create, plan, and collaborate with Heather has been one of the greatest gifts that RES has brought her..Presenting the certificate to Heather is Karen Smith, Superintendent of Schools and Jeff Boston, Principal of Readfield Elementary School.
The Foundation believes, and we’re sure that many in the community agree, that we have excellent employees in our school district who provide outstanding educational and support services to the students we serve. In an effort to show appreciation for their service, we created a process to recognize employees each month. Recipients for this recognition are randomly selected from employees nominated for their excellent efforts by fellow staff, parents, students and community members. Each recipient receives a small honorarium and most importantly, the public recognition they so richly deserve. Those nominated can be teachers, administrators, coaches and support staff who work in every department in the district. Please use this link to complete the nomination form if you would like to make your admired employee a candidate for this recognition.
Congratulations Heather!
